PixoProof Academy: Your Client's Gallery on Their Phone — PixoProof App (from Invite to Submit)
The PixoProof mobile app provides a fast and convenient way to view, save, and enjoy photo galleries shared by your photographer directly on your iPhone, iPad, or Android device.
Opening a Gallery from an Invitation Link
When your photographer delivers your photos:
- Tap the Invitation Link: Tap the invite link sent to your email or messaging app on your mobile device.
- Open in App: If you have the PixoProof app installed, tapping the invitation link opens the app directly to the gallery access screen.
- Open Without a Link: When you launch the app directly from your home screen, you are taken to your My Galleries screen where all your previously unlocked albums are ready to view.
Unlocking a Gallery with Your PIN
To ensure your personal photos remain private, each gallery is protected by an email and PIN verification:
- Enter Your Email: Type the email address where you received the photographer's invitation.
- Enter Your Gallery PIN: Type the private PIN code provided by your photographer (at least 4 characters).
- Tap Access Gallery: Tap Access Gallery to verify your access.
Once unlocked, the gallery is automatically saved to your My Galleries screen so you can return to it anytime without having to re-enter your PIN.
Managing the "My Galleries" Screen
The My Galleries screen is your personal home for every album your photographer has shared with you:
- Personal Greeting: Greets you by name at the top of the screen (Hi there, [your name]!).
- Gallery Cards: Each album is shown with its cover photo, album title, and photographer's studio name.
- Opening a Gallery: Tap any gallery card to open the album viewer and start browsing your photos.
- Refreshing Your Albums: Swipe down from the top of the screen (Pull to Refresh) at any time to check for newly added photos or new albums.
- Removing an Album: Tap the trash icon on any gallery card, then tap Remove in the Remove Gallery prompt if you want to remove an album from your device's list. (Note: This only removes the album from your app list; it does not delete your photos on your photographer's system.)
- Empty State: If you have not unlocked any galleries yet, the app shows Your photographer hasn't shared a gallery with you yet. and suggests asking your photographer to share a gallery invitation link.
Closing and Exiting the App
- On Android devices, pressing your device's back button from the My Galleries screen displays an Exit PixoProof? prompt with Cancel and Exit options to prevent accidental closing.
- You can reopen the app at any time to continue viewing your unlocked galleries.
